Dr. Richard A. Rasmussen, III

Dr. Richard A. Rasmussen III is an accomplished, Florida clinician whose background and credentials reflect his commitment to the highest standards of patient care, treatment innovation, and leadership within his specialty. He has been actively involved as an integral member of the Implant and Periodontal team for the past decade.

A native of Tampa, Florida, Dr. Rasmussen graduated from Jesuit High School. He attended the University of Florida where he graduated Cum Laude with research distinction. Dr. Rasmussen’s achievements were recognized by the country’s best training programs as he turned down acceptance to the country’s number one rated dental school, the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, in order to stay in his home state and attend Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicine and obtain his DMD degree. As well as graduating at the top of his class, he was honored with membership in the prestigious academic society of Omicron Kappa Upsilon.

He is currently continuing his post-graduate training at the University of Florida’s Graduate Periodontology program and will soon receive his specialty certificate in advanced training in conjunction with his master’s degree.

Dr. Rasmussen is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Periodontology.
